Notre Dame goes ACC… but not in football?

While I was busy today, the University of Notre Dame announced that in all sports but football will join the ACC. I’m gonna assume this will happen next season. While the football program will still be independent (why? I don’t even know), they’ll play against 5 ACC teams a year.

I guess this is cool?

I mean, Notre Dame needs to just join a conference when it comes to football. Sure, you don’t want to share anything money wise, but you haven’t been ranked #1 since 1993. Step back, and share some money with other teams.

Notre Dame is 2-0 this year (Shocking as hell, man), but faces a tough test this weekend against Michigan State.
